NAATI
The National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters Ltd. (NAATI) is the National Standards and Certifying Body for Translators and Interpreters in Australia. It issues Certification to Practitioners who wish to work as Translators and Interpreters in Australia.

NAATI CCL (Credentialed Community Language) Test is usually taken by candidates who seek to lodge a point-based visa application to Australia, such as Independent Visa (subclass 189), Skilled Nominated Visa (subclass 190), or Skilled Regional (Provisional) Visa (subclass 489). Passing this test provides additional 5 points towards one’s application.

NAATI CCL Test is conducted Online and determines a candidate’s ability to convey the meaning of a conversation from English language to LOTE (Language Other Than English) and vice versa. Candidates are made to listen to 2 conversations between a native English Speaker and a native LOTE speaker. Each dialogue is of approximately 300 words, nearly half in English and half in the chosen LOTE. The dialogue is further divided into different segments. Each segment is of maximum 35 words. The maximum time allotted for the test is 20 minutes and the result is sent via mail within 4-6 weeks from the test date.

The total score is 90 and candidates need to score overall 63 marks out of 90. Each conversation carries 45 marks and to pass the test minimum 29 marks in each is needed.
NAATI Online assessment is Conducted via Proctor Exam, a leading platform for online proctoring. Candidates need to ensure required equipment and a stable internet connection.
